How about starting your Tuesday morning with some good ol’ Metallica magic?

Hell yeah, take my money bitch!

That’s what all of us should be saying, and yes we got this covered for you.

Metallica has debuted a new song, “Moth Into Flame,” as part of an interview with Howard Stern last Sunday. Like the title track from the band’s new album, Hardwired… To Self-Destruct, it’s very much in the vein of old school Metallica.

Here is what Metallica had to say about their new track:

” We’re back!! Welcome to track number two from Hardwired…To Self-Destruct, “Moth Into Flame.”

As some of you accurately predicted, we gave it the first public spin while hanging out with our great friend Howard Stern this morning in his New York studio. Sitting and chatting with Howard is one our favorite things to do and we were honored that he offered to play it first and let us perform a few additional songs live while we were there. We’re also excited to debut the corresponding video directed by Tom Kirk of Muse fame.
Just to refresh your memories, ‘Hardwired…To Self-Destruct’ hits the streets on November 18, 2016, and was produced by Greg Fidelman, along with James and Lars, and is available for pre-order in a variety of configurations including 12 songs on a double CD, vinyl, digital download, as well as a deluxe version including cover songs and live tracks. “

What’s Hot:

Amazing guitar riffs and James Hetfield’s vocals takes you back in time…. the golden Metallica days!

What’s not:

Well, we think Lar’s could have done much better with the drums on this one!

While we cannot compare this track with the band’s previous works in the early 90’s but at least we can say that with these 2 tracks of Hardwired… To Self-Destruct, Metallica is back on the right path. It seems that they have made a conscious decision to incorporate the old school melodies in their new album. As an artist, they have the full liberty to explore different horizons and try improvising with the ever changing dynamics of the music world.

There will surely be some die hard Metallica fans who would be disappointed with this one but all we can say that it’s surely better than the first track Hardwired and we bet that the entire album shall shape out quite well.

Well, stay tuned with the Front Row Ravers as we shall be bringing you all the developments on the much awaited Metallica album. Until then, we leave you with this incredible Metallica performance on September 24 at the Global Citizen Festival in New York.
